Inform strike Bethany Friend bagged another 4 goals as Crawley made light work of an unconvincing Claygate side . Three games into the season it's 2 league & one cup win for this young  Wasps side , within the side good partnerships in centre midfield & upfront with Becky Routley , Aston Worsfold , Holly Walker & Friend respectivley, strongly supported on the flanks by Nicolle Smith & Emily timms & a composed back four led by captain Laura Pamment the side is gaining in confidence with each game. Four nil up at half time the Wasps took their foot af the pedal slightly, but after Claygate scaored 10 mins into the half Crawley regrouped and came out comftable winners , and could have scored more had finishing been a little more clinical , but who an really complain .Their will be tougher games to come as the season progreses but winning is a great confidence booster, and  the next game a county cup game against Godalming will be a sterner test

Crawley Wasps  5   Molesy Juniors  4 Surrey County Women & Girls League Cup

The Wasps progressed to the next round of the league cup with a hard fought victory over a tough Molesy side. In Difficult blustery conditions Crawley took an early lead with a neat chip from Emily Timms , however soon after a fine strike from 25yds out bought Molesy level . Crawley regained the lead  with a Bethany Friend penalty after Holly Walker was brought down after a fine run into  the box . Another lomg range effort equalized for Molesey before the visitors had their own penalty which was superbly saved by keeper Charlotte Grimshaw . Friend got her second after a goal mouth scramble , but Crawley were pegged back again to go in at half time 3 - 3. The Wasps had the wind  advantage in the 2nd half an dearly pressure had it's rewards when Aston Worsfold  struck a delightful dipping shot from 25 yds easily the best long ramge effort of the day. But again Molesey hit back to level 4 - 4 . It was all Crawley in the last 10minutes and with extra time looming right back Rachel Hillman sent a long ball into the box Friend gambled on the keeper making a mistake to calmly complete her hatrick from close range with almost the last kick of the game.
